Yes, you read that right, I went to a Chinese restaurant and ordered chicken teriyaki which is traditionally a Japanese dish, and it was FABULOUS! The chicken was lightly breaded and the sauce was sweet and light and wonderful.
This was my second encounter with China Gourmet and I’m sure it won’t be my last. Traditionally I’m not a huge fan of Chinese food, but this place is doing a damn good job of changing my mind. The food taste fresh, the veggies are perfectly cook and certainly didn’t start off frozen. The sauces aren’t overly fishy or greasy. AND you get your choice of soup as well as either an egg roll or fried wanton at lunch.
The ambiance is great, the place is clean and the service is great. So far I haven’t found anything to complain about. If you’re looking for a delicious fast, fresh, hearty lunch I’d recommend trying China Gourmet. Don’t be thrown off by their horrible website, and lack on online menu. As a matter of fact don’t even click on the link, just know they are located over by The Outback off of Hover and Clover Basin.
